Arvada Arts and Recreation
What can you do in Arvada? If you feel like being active or creative, you have many opportunities! The community offers a wide variety of choices for people of all ages and abilities. We partner with many entities for Arts and Recreation. Our vision is to provide endless opportunities that strengthen community image and sense of hometown, support economic development, promote health and wellness, increase cultural awareness and provide recreational experiences while preserving and enhancing our resources.
From the beginning, the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities has sought to expand the community's understanding of the arts and to bring art into everyday lives. The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities provides numerous programs for community enrichment and arts education. From main stage theater to pottery classes, the Community goal of Culture continues to provide the city with opportunities to grow, learn, and experience new and exciting things. The City of Arvada has over 3,000 acres of parks and trails to enjoy.

There are over 900 classes and 7 mainstage performances each year.
Recreation Recreation is happening all over our community! From soccer, football, softball and baseball fields to trails, parks and recreation centers. There is always something to do!
The City of Arvada has an extensive park and trail system throughout the city. There are many developed parks consisting of over 3,000 acres. These parks are typical neighborhood parks, but there are regional parks for soccer, softball, disc golf, 3 Golf courses, 1 skateboard park and 1 dog park. The community also features world class recreation facilities, like the APEX Center.
